Slant of Light entered the Boston music scene in the fall of 2009 as a 3-piece acoustic rock trio, and morphed into an all-acoustic three-part harmony sound. Slant of Light released three full-length albums, played many shows around the Boston area - most notably The Brighton Music Hall, and took a short East Coast Tour, where the band traveled as far as North Carolina. The band's full-length album Fruition was released in 2014, featuring M.E. Foley on guitar, Kevin Harvey on stand-up bass, and Aaron Zak on banjo, recorded by Benny Grotto at Mad Oak and Q Division, and mastered at New Alliance East. Fruition features all-original folk music that draws upon influences both classic (Tom Waits) and new (Bon Iver, The Devil Makes Three), with special guests Jenée Morgan Force (Kingsley Flood) on violin, and Aaron Rosenthal (This Blue Heaven) on piano.
